Meeting Cassidy

February 28, 2014 came and went, still no baby girl. Our doctor scheduled me for an induction on Thursday March 6, where they would give me medicine (Pitocin) to make me go into labor. We arrived at the hospital maternity ward that evening to begin the process, which proved to be long and painful. After being on medication all night, still no baby. The whole day Friday some mild discomfort, still no baby. The doctors decided to administer another medication that REALLY got the process going. After all night and all early morning of being in agonizing pain and only 4 cm dilated, I was given the epidural. Only after 10 minutes I was fully dilated and told to start pushing. Jimmy on one side of me and nurses on the other, 30 minutes of pushing and Cassidy was finally here!! She was born at 9:08 AM, with big blue eyes. Needless to say we fell in love.

Becoming Mommy

In June of 2013 Jimmy and I found out we were expecting our little girl. This came as a huge surprise to us ! We were definitely not expecting to have children for a long while. In July we saw our little baby for the first time on the ultra sound screen, and small she was !! We could not wait for our little peanut to grow. Before we knew it our little baby went from a piece of rice, to a blueberry, soon enough to a melon, and then a small turkey. Getting to watch her grow, and finding out she was indeed a "her" was so exciting for us. Jimmy and I were given the due date of February 28, 2014.

Hello Everyone !

I wanted to start this blog with introducing myself not just as a Mom but who I was before I became a Mom. In June of 2012 I started dating Jimmy, my now boyfriend of nearly three years. Our first concert together was XTU Philadelphia's country station anniversary concert. It was actually my first concert ever and he got us reserved seats and officially asked to be "my other half", and that is what he has been ever since. From then on we were always having fun. I graduated high school in 2012, ad he finished automotive school that August. We both worked and I went on to college. We took small trips together, and had fun on the weekends. Living a state apart at times got stressful but we always made it work. We continued to make it work through a surprise pregnancy, and now as parents.
